Coast Tiny Homes is a family run business that is passionate about building. Coast Tiny homes was formed out of a need for a more affordable option of living for a variety of people. We bring a level of quality and craftsmanship that owners are known to bring to their residential and commercial projects. Founder Chad Walmsley co-founder Sean Walmsley have more than 45 years of combined experience in the construction industry. They have worked on various high-level projects in the residential and commercial construction industry, from high-end new construction buildings, renovations, multifamily buildings, restaurants, general public venues and Olympic venues from the Vancouver winter Olympic 2010 games.
Coast Tiny Homes is based in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. We design and manufacture all of our homes in house at our warehouse. Nothing is more important to us then the safety of the homes we build and that is why we use fully licensed and red seal trades (plumbers, electricians, hvac); Our team also consists of red seal journeyman carpenters and apprentices. All our tiny homes are professionally designed, and structural engineered drawings are reviewed and provided by a certified professional structural engineer. The drawings are thoroughly checked to ensure the structure and construction details meet seismic, safety and design requirements. We build our homes following the same stringent building code guidelines that single-family homes are built under in British Columbia, which has the most stringent building codes in the country.

Chad Walmsley
Owner, Chad Walmsley is a driven entrepreneur with vision and a passion for building. In 2007 he founded a general contracting company (Northern Alpine Contracting) that has grown into an established residential and commercial construction business. Chad is always seeking for knowledge and new solutions to build with energy efficiency and to reduce waste. He is currently finishing his master builders’ licence with the Canadian home builder’s association and soon will have his Master's Builders degree. He sees Coast Tiny Homes as the big step towards pursuing his goals to provide people with a more cost-effective way of living, that includes the quality and finishes he delivers to his clients in the residential market, through a more minimalist lifestyle and a reduced carbon footprint. Chad is an avid outdoorsman that enjoys boating, wake surfing, snowboarding and exploring the outdoors.
Sean Walmsley
Owner, Sean Walmsley works in construction since 1991. Over the years he has built countless commercial and residential buildings, including hotels, restaurants, and houses. When not in the office or job sites, he enjoys spending time with his lovely son.
Monica La Porta
Monica La Porta, our amazing designer, was born and raised in Brazil, but calls Canada her home.
In Brazil, she studied architecture for two years and decided to change the focus of her studies to civil engineering. As civil engineer, she worked in urban infrastructure projects, including roads, subways and runways.
Monica is an outdoor lover. Her happy place is exploring nature.
Elsi Industrius
Elsi Industrius was born in the Dominican Republic and grew up in the British Virgin Islands (B.V.I.). She worked in several industries including Retail, Financial, Hospitality and most recent Customer Service. Elsi co-owned and managed a Human Resources and Consulting business in the B.V.I. where she acted as the Manager/Recruitment Consultant servicing mainly SMEs in the Financial and Corporate Jurisdictions. Currently, she utilizes her experience and diversity through Coast Tiny Homes as the Office Manager. She considers herself to be a bridge builder, customer service professional, and a reliable contact. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, acting, dancing, and socializing with friends and family.
